I'm 17... I'm married
Disclaimer
Hi fellow stinky pants! This is a daily novel written beautifully by a young writer, on how she managed to lacerate her own heart, and stitched it back whole again.

I like my name... C E L I N E. It is a French name and I absolutely adore French. I plan to join the French club in Poly, and I hope they teach about cooking up French cuisines and diner etiquettes (fat hope) which will bring me one step closer to become a highly sophisticated lady. ZOMG, nope this is NOT bullshit..

Do you think Singaporeans are patriotic?
Love CelineTuesday, August 7, 2007 | back to top

No, well, at least not all of 'em.
Singaporeans have took for granted that Singapore is just their homes, a place where they live. But they do not love their country at all. Singapore is free from natural disaster, riots and racism. Everything is like whatever for example, there're no racist clans like the KKK in the USA to threaten us. We're safe from almost everything.

We do not stand up for our own country at all. Whenever we hear someone talking bad about our country on the streets, we just let it go because we do not care what insults foreigners say. If it was the other way round, like Singaporeans insulting for example Thailand, the Thais never fail to stand up for their own country.
There was also a time when the Thais burnt the Singapore flag because of something Singapore said about their country.

Our country will never be better than the rest.
Take cleanliness. Singapore cleaner than Australia? Unlikely. Many Singaporeans just litter and spit everywhere and anywhere they like. This is why Singapore had SARS a few years back and Australia didn't.

But well, after watching the National Day Parade, I was amused by the songs and the Singapore spirit. Maybe there are many out there who really love Singapore after all.
